Windows 95/98 - Installing Dial-up Networking

Before you proceed with the setup, make sure you have the original versions of the Windows installation CD-ROMs with you.

  1. Go to your Windows taskbar and click on Start > Settings > Control Panel
  2. The Control Panel window opens. Double click on the Add/Remove Programs icon.

  2. When the Add/Remove Programs Properties window opens, click on Windows Setup tab.

  3. Highlight the Communications item and click on the Details... button.
  4. The Communications window opens. Check the Dial-Up Networking option. Make sure that the box beside it is checked.

  5. Click on the OK button.
  6. Windows will then prompt you to insert your installation CD-ROM. Please follow the instructions to complete the installation.
